DEF review pack Pages 5 & 6 - These cards are for number recognition. Use counters, pom poms, marshmallows, even cars and place items in the circle to help learn numbers. Page 7 - a simple 5 strip puzzle. It may be easier to laminate and add magnets to the back. These will help the puzzle pieces stay in place. Page 8 - roll and cover game. Have child roll a die and cover the number rolled with pom poms or cars. Page 9 - 2 part puzzles, again this may be simpler if they are laminated and magnetic. Page 10 - number word practice, use the letter tiles to match the number words. Page 11 - clothes pin cards. Using clothespin, have child identify the correct answer and pin the clothespin over it. Pages 12 thru 14 - ten frame practice. Use the ten frame to practice counting/number recognition or even to work simple addition problems. The vehicles can be used as counters. Page 15 thru 17 - play dough mats to practice letters. Page 18 is an easy alpha strip puzzle. Laminate and add magnets to make it less stressful. Page 19 thru 21 - give child a magnifying glass and have him find the letters/sight words in the pictures. Page 22 - is a smaller version of the magnifying page to save ink and paper. Page 22 & 23 - wikki/play dough cards, use to practice sight words. Page 24 - letter writing practice cards. Page 25 - missing letter practice. Use letter magnets or letter clothespins and have child determine the missing letter. Page 26 - letter strip puzzle using letters A thru J from the alphabet.
Page 27 - this can be a matching game used several ways. (1) match vehicle to vehicle, (2) match vehicle to letter, and (3) match both vehicles to the letter. Page 28 to 29 - another smaller card matching game. I would use these in my sensory bin. Have child find the cards in the rice/noodles and match to the alpha board. Or use them for a bingo type of game. The possibilities are endless. Page 30 - milk jug lid labels, add these to the ABC review pack lids for a complete review. Match the pictures, letters or both. Great review game. Page 31 - sight word puzzles. Practice the sight words by putting the puzzles together. Again, lamination and magnets may help to ease frustration. Page 32 - where is the traffic cone game? This game can used in a table pocket chart or just by laying the cards on the table. Place the traffic cone under one of the word cards and have the child read the words/letters to clear the board and find the cone. Pages 33 to 34 - sight word practice. Laminate and use dry erase markers to practice, use push pins and trace the words. Make rainbow words by tracing the words several times with different colors. Trace the words with little stickers, endless possibilities. Pages 35 thru 41 - roll and graph. Make the cube and have the child roll it. Then the child can either color the correct space in the graph or trace the items. Or make a spinner using a brad and large paper clip. Spin the clip and graph the results. Pages 42 thru 44 - are review games. You can use markers to cover the words/letters the child has read. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at www.livingworldsapart.blogspot.com
