Pogoda to jeden z moich ulubionych tematów, jeśli chodzi o zajęcia z języka angielskiego. Możliwości na przeprowadzenie tematu jest cała masa, ja przedstawię Wam moje ulubione sposoby i aktywności. Przede wszystkim - do każdego określenia niezbędna jest ilustracja i ruch. Ja przyjęłam sobie takie gesty, które sprawdzają się na moich zajęciach już dłuższy czas: It's sunny - podnosimy obie ręce do góry i "wkręcamy żaróweczki", It's rainy - podnosimy ręce i poruszając palcami opuszczamy je, It's windy - poruszamy rękoma, a, naśladując drzewo na wietrze, It's cloudy - zaciskamy dłonie w pięści, tak, jakbyśmy zagniatali ciasto, tyle, że przed sobą, It's snowy - wyrzucamy przed siebie pięści otwierając je, naśladując tym samym śnieżynki, It's stormy - stukamy pięściami w dywan dywa lub tupiemy. Nie ma dobrych zajęć bez rekwizytów, dlatego też do każdej pogody wybieramy sobie jakiś przedmiot, który pomoże nam tę pogodę urzeczywistnić. U mnie są to: psikacz (np. taki jak do kwiatów), parasolka, suszarka (najlepiej z chłodnym nawiewem), nawiewem), wata, symulator burzy (do kupienia w sklepach muzycznych). Do wprowadzania słownictwa używam wymiennie gestów, jak i rekwizytów właśnie. Jeśli chodzi o zabawy, to ulubioną zabawą dzieci i zarazem najprostszą jest nazwana przeze mnie roboczo "parasol parasol". Chodzimy po sali razem z dziećmi, w różnych kierunkach, trzymając rozłożony parasol. Kolejno wymieniamy różne pogody, a dzieci wykonują umówiony wcześniej gest. Kiedy powiemy "It's rainy" muszą jak najszybciej schować się pod parasolem. Dla mniej licznych h grup świetną zabawą jest "Let's " jump in the puddle". ". Z niebieskich kartek wycinamy kałuże, przyklejamy ilustrację związaną z tematem, laminujemy, rozkładamy na podłodze i zaczynamy! Wręczamy parasol, jeśli macie taką możliwość - niech dzieci ubiorą kalo kalosze. Opcje są dwie: dzieci skaczą kolejno po kałużach, na "stop" zatrzymują się, odwracają kałuże i nazywają to, co znajduje się na ilustracji albo rzucają kostką (wtedy kałuże trzeba ponumerować) i skaczą na kałużę z tym numerem, jaki wyrzuciły kostkę. Na kolejnych zajęciach, pytanie "How's the weather?" dołączam do zestawu warm up questions. PHOTOCOPIABLE

Days of the week – boardgame Dorota Łuczyńska peekabooenglish.wordpress.com Gra przeznaczona jest dla dwóch lub więcej graczy lub grup graczy. Planszę oraz karty do gry drukujemy. Karty podklejamy od spodu kolorowym tłem, aby znajdujące się na nich obrazki i napisy nie prześwitywały. Karty do gry mieszamy i układamy w stosiku (obrazkami do dołu) obok planszy. Gracze stawiają swoje pionki na polu START. Grę rozpoczyna ta osoba, która wyrzuci kostką największą liczbę oczek. Zadaniem graczy jest poruszanie się po polu, zgodnie z ilością oczek wyrzuconych na kostce. Jeśli gracz stanie na polu z cyfrą, musi dodatkowo przesunąć się o określoną na nim liczbę oczek: -1, -2, -3 (jedno, dwa, trzy oczka do tyłu) lub 1, 2, 3 (jedno, dwa, trzy oczka do przodu). Jeśli gracz stanie na polu ze znakiem zapytania, losuje kartę ze stosiku i odpowiada na znajdujące się na niej pytanie: może to być przetłumaczenie angielskiej nazwy dnia tygodnia na język polski lub polskiej nazwy dnia tygodnia na język angielski, lub też podanie jaki dzień występuje przed, po lub pomiędzy podanymi dniami tygodnia. Dodatkowo gracz może też wylosować kartę przyznającą mu dodatkowy rzut kostką, utratę kolejki, lub nakaz cofnięcia się na pole START. Hit a toy Dzieci owocnie spędziły czas na beztroskiej zabawie. Jednak po ich szaleństwach rodzice zastali bałagan w domu. Trzeba go posprzątać. Celem gry jest jak najszybsze zlokalizowanie zabawek w domu. Są one porozrzucane po różnych miejscach. Przygotowania do gry: Należy wydrukować karty i przygotować packi na muchy. Ilość graczy: Jednorazowo wystarczy, aby dwie osoby brały udział. Można jednak zaangażować większą ilość osób. Zasady: Na podłodze należy rozłożyć kwadratowe karty przedstawiające meble oraz zabawki. Prostokątne karty trzyma nauczyciel, lub osoba przez niego wyznaczona. Wybrane dzieci trzymają packi i przygotowują się do „posprzątania” zabawek. Aby to zrobić, trzeba jak najszybciej uderzyć packą w obrazek, na którym znajduje się dana rzecz. Uczestnicy zabawy czekają, aż nauczyciel, lub osoba przez niego wyznaczona, powie odpowiednie słowo lub pokaże je.
I have got … Ta popularna gra karciana na pewno zda egzamin przy tym temacie. Na każdej przygotowanej karcie znajduje się wyrażenie „I havegot …” oraz pytanie „Haveyougot …?”. Uczestnicy muszą powiedzieć oba zdania. Gdy zrobią to poprawnie, należy położyć kartę na podłodze lub stole. Każda karta kończy się pytaniem, które nie może pozostać bez odpowiedzi. Należy znaleźć więc kartę, która zawiera żądaną wypowiedź. Z kart powinien utworzyć się obwód. Za każdym razem inna karta może zaczynać rozgrywkę, ponieważ nie ustaliłam karty początkowej ani końcowej. Miłej zabawy :)

Zestaw kart do gry. Karty zawierają 31 różnych obrazków związanych z tematyką bożonarodzeniowo – zimową. W skład zestawu wchodzi 31 kart a każda z nich zawiera 6 grafik, jest unikalna i z pozostałymi kartami ma tylko jedną wspólną grafikę. Zasady gry: Każdy gracz otrzymuje 1 kartę, pozostałe kładziemy na środku pomiędzy graczami. Na hasło „start” gracze szukają wspólnego elementu łączącego swoją kartę z górną kartą pliku leżącego na środku. Gracz, który jako pierwszy powie nazwę obrazka obrazka zbiera kartę i następnie wszyscy szukają wspólnego elementu z kolejną kartą. Grę wygrywa gracz, który uzbiera najwięcej kart.

A Teddy Bear Day Karolina Kępska Pamiętacie jeszcze swojego ulubionego pluszaka? Dla większości z nas był to właśnie miś. Często wytarty, zniszczony, ale wciąż najbardziej ukochany. Też takiego miałam, był dla mnie bardzo ważny. Z tego powodu co roku w grupach, które prowadzę zawsze organizuję Dzień pluszowego misia. Poniżej, w postaci tabeli przedstawiam Wam cele lekcji, którą przygotowałam na tegoroczne zajęcia: Uczeń zna:

Mimo mnogości dostępnych piosenek, rapów i chantów postanowiłam zabawić się w poetkę i na potrzeby lekcji wymyśliłam misiowy wierszyk. Nauczyciel na lekcji może wykorzystać ten wierszyk na wiele sposobów. Jednym z nich jest nauczenie dzieci słów wierszyka z wykorzystaniem krótkiej i prostej choreografii. Dzieci powtarzają za nauczycielem słowa uderzając raz w uda, a raz klaszcząc w dłonie. Nawet najprostszy rytm stymuluje mózg dziecka do zapamiętania tekstu. W czasie nauki tekstu nieodzownym jest, aby nauczyciel wprowadził słownictwo zawarte w tekście za pomocą gestów, mimiki, flaszy, a także żywego modelu, czyli… pluszowego misia. PHOTOCOPIABLE

Następnie, nauczyciel może przedrylować tekst piosenki, czyli wielokrotnie powtórzyć słownictwo i struktury w nim zawarte, posługując się poniższym schematem: N-L: I’m a little … (pokazuje gestem misia) U: I’m a little teddy. N: I’m … (pokazuje flasz „cute” i „Brown”) U: I’m cute and brown. N: I’ve got … (pokazuje na palcach 2 i wskazuje na uszy) U: I’ve got two ears, etc. Nie wolno nam zapominać, że zajęcia w klasach 1-3 to ciągła powtórka materiału. Dzień pluszowego misia to doskonały pretekst, żeby powtórzyć kolory, liczebniki, części ciała, czy chociażby inne zabawki – nie każdy najbardziej na świecie musi kochać pluszowego misia. Są i tacy, dla których ulubioną zabawką jest straszny smok lub klocki Lego®. Po powtórzeniu materiału obocznego za pomocą gier i zabaw z flaszami, czytania globalnego, czy każdej innej, dowolnej aktywności, przechodzimy do gry karcianej towarzyszącej mojemu wierszykowi. Najbardziej optymalnym miejscem gry jest oczywiście dywan, dzieci siedzą w kółku i z zamkniętymi oczami losują jedną z kart. Na karcie jest zarówno prosty tekst do przeczytania, jak i obrazek. Całość zmusza ucznia do wypowiedzenia pełnego zdania. Młodszym dzieciom nauczyciel może pomóc, starsze muszą włożyć swój wysiłek w odczytanie karty. Komu się nie uda nie dostaje punktu lub musi wykonać karne zadanie. Rundę dobrze jest kilkakrotnie powtórzyć. Grę oczywiście można dowolnie modyfikować do swoich potrzeb, można grać na grupy, można karty wykorzystać jako flasze, można powielić karty i zadać uzupełnienie ich jako pracę domową, jednym zdaniem: ilu nauczycieli, tyle wspaniałych pomysłów. Życzę miłej zabawy!

Gra planszowa „Could/Couldn’t” jest grą edukacyjną przeznaczoną dla uczniów klas 4-6 szkoły podstawowej. W grze wykorzystane jest słownictwo dotyczące czynności codziennych w domu. W grę można zagrać na dwa sposoby. Druga plansza jest pusta do wykorzystania dla uczniów, którzy mogą stworzyć własną grę! Pierwszy sposób: „When I was eight years old….”. Uczniowie grają ze sobą w parach. Jeśli uczniów w klasie jest więcej, najlepszym rozwiązaniem jest rozdanie jednej planszy na parę. Uczniowie stając na wylosowanych kostką polach mówią „When I was eight years old I could + czynność z obrazka” lub „When I was eight years old I couldn’t + czynność z obrazka” – zdanie zależy od umiejętności uczniów, kiedy mieli osiem lat. Oczywiście wiek (w moim przypadku eight) można zmienić tak, aby pasował pod grupę i pod słownictwo. Drugi sposób: „Could you …….. when you were eight years old?”. Uczniowie ponownie grają ze sobą w parach i tym razem stając na wylosowanym przez siebie polu czekają aż przeciwnik zada im pytanie! Przeciwnik zadaje powyższe pytanie, a w miejsce kropek wstawia nazwę czynności, którą przedstawia obrazek. Jeśli całe pytanie będzie za trudne dla uczniów początkujących można zacząć od zadawania pytania „Could you + czynność z obrazka?” a z czasem dodać resztę pytania. Pionki do gry:

Gra przeznaczona jest dla dwójki graczy lub dwóch grup graczy. Obrazki drukujemy i podklejamy od spodu kolorowym papierem: zielonym lub czerwonym (w zależności od koloru obwódki obrazka). Na stole rozkładamy dwanaście krążków z zielonym rewersem, obrazkami do dołu. Następnie gracze (lub grupy) losują po 6 takich krążków. Krążki z czerwonym rewersem rozkładamy na stole (również obrazkami do dołu). Informujemy uczniów, że obrazki na wylosowanych krążkach przedstawiają jakieś fakty z ich życia. Uczniowie mogą sami zdecydować, czy fakt ten dotyczy przeszłości i nie jest już prawdziwy, czy też dotyczy teraźniejszości i nie był prawdziwy w przeszłości. Uczniowie na zmianę losują krążki z czerwonym rewersem i starają się ułożyć sensowne zdanie z wylosowanym krążkiem i jednym z posiadanych już krążków z zielonym rewersem. Aby to zrobić muszą wylosować wśród krążków rozłożonych na stole, krążek przedstawiający podobny fakt, do tego który już posiadają, np. uczeń wylosował na początku gry krążek z zielonym rewersem przedstawiający

Razem z pasującym do niego zielonym krążkiem tworzy on parę, a więc uczeń/grupa otrzymuje jeden punkt. Wygrywa ten gracz/ta grupa, której pierwszej uda się odnaleźć sześć pasujących krążków i ułożyć sześć poprawnych zdań z wykorzystaniem konstrukcji „used to”. Zdania, które uczniowie mogą ułożyć w grze to: 1.

When people see photos of me and my fat belly they cannot believe I’ve lost so much weight in one year. It is because I am on a diet now. 6. Whenever I look at a boat in the water I think of the days when my father used to take me to the nearby lake. We were always lucky and brought some fresh food home. 7. ‘Filutek went to Ireland’ Past Simple Tense in practice Grażyna Pastuszka angielskipodrodze.pl Preparation:
Prepare seven envelopes and name the envelopes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
etc… so that each envelope would represent one day of the week. Print the pictures provided and put them into the envelopes. Procedure:
Divide your learners into seven small groups (preferably 2 – 3 students) and ask
them, if it is possible, to organize their seats in a semicircle. Each group represents one day of the week (Monday to Sunday). Distribute the envelopes, so that each group gets one envelope with the materials inside. The envelopes should be handed out in the order of the days of the week. Tell your students not to open the envelopes at this stage. Ask the class to think of a name for a girl or a boy. Once they have agreed on the name, for example Filutek (it can be a funny name), write the following sentences on the board: Once upon a time there was a boy called Filutek. He has just come back from Ireland where he spent a wonderful week. … Next, tell your students that this is the beginning of a story of Filutek’s wonderful week in Ireland and now their task is to work in groups, open the envelopes, study all the materials, and on the basis of them make up 3 – 5 sentences about what Filutek did on that particular day. Encourage your students to use various time expressions, such as first, then, next, after that, at 3 o’clock, in the morning/afternoon, etc… and be creative. Set the time limit (5-7 minutes). After the learners have finished, tell them they are going to read their sentences out loud and each student in the group is supposed to read at least one sentence. Ask one student to read the beginning of the story which is on the board and after that, point at the “Monday group” to indicate that it is their turn to read the sentences. When they have finished, point at the “Tuesday group” showing them they are supposed to speak now. The task is complete when all the groups have read their sentences. While listening, do not correct the students, as it may only disturb them. TAPESCRIPT #4 You can choose friends but not your relatives The importance of both family and friends in a human life seems to be undeniable. But the question is, who is more important to you? Well, it depends on our age and a situation we are in a certain moment of our life. When we are small children our mommies are the whole world for us and we can’t imagine a day without them. As we are teenagers, we tend to be rebellious and, they are friends, not parents who we want to share our problems with. We spend much more time with peers, however, it doesn’t mean we don’t respect our family. In my opinion, we always keep balance between relatives and friends and dedicate them more or less the same amount of time and attention. Having a full family may be something extraordinary nowadays. Every day you can hear from our friends that their parents want to divorce. So, if your family is complete, be grateful because not all children are as happy as you are. Naturally, some misunderstandings happen in every home. That’s why don’t feel nervous. Do you know what I like most about my family? Even if we sometimes have different points of view, we always sit and discuss all the matters together to solve the problem. Friendship plays an important role in my life. My friends know they can always rely on me and I am totally sure I can count on them. What I don’t accept in a friendship is hypocrisy. There is no room for fighting between buddies but constructive feedback is always welcome. For me, life without friends would be empty because they were the friends who were with my at my first party ever, PHOTOCOPIABLE

they accompanied me during my exams at university. And just with them I prepared for my first job interview and I succeeded! Choosing between my family and friends is not my cup of tea. I consider both relationships to be of the same significance. Each of them requires devotion, attention, honesty and loyalty. I do believe in a saying ‘Treat someone as you want to be treated’. No matter if he or she is a friend or a member of your family. Each person deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.
