INFORMATION ABOUT THIS UPHOLSTERY This is furniture produced to the highest European standards which, with care and attention from you, will give you many years of service. Only materials of the highest quality have been used in the construction of this model, with Solid wood framing, tempered steel springs and high resilient foams with polyester fibres. Care & Maintenance §
Chenille fabrics have a directional “pile” which can give a shading effect. Please turn your seat cushions so that pile on the front border is the same shade as the main body.
§
Light pressure marks my be removed by lightly wiping up and down with a moist clean cloth
§
Upholstery should be regularly vacuum-cleaned using the soft brush attachment .
§
Regularly brush with a clothes type brush to remove surface dirt and dust and maintain the appearance of the fabric
§
Light stains should be removed immediately USING WATER ONLY . DO NOT RUB the fabric, but gently wipe it with an absorbent clean cloth. Work from the outside of the stain to prevnt spreading. Proprietary upholstery shampoos may be used but only after checking on a small part of hidden fabric that colour loss does not occur.
§
Our fibre filled seat cushions are designed, quite deliberately, for a casual very much ‘lived-in’ appearance . You will notice that within the first couple of days of use in your home, the seats of your furniture will ‘flatten down’. This is quite normal and after a short time your furniture will have that luxurious ‘lived-in’ appearance that can only be achieve d with Full Loft Fibre Fill. We recommend that you regularly ‘plump up’ the seat cushions and rotate them to allow for even wear.
§
Back cushions should be ,,plumped” up and turned daily to even out the fabric wear. We also recommend remov ing the inners weekly and vigorously kneading and teasing apart any fibres that will have inevitably become matted together.
§
Care should be taken that furniture is not exposed to direct or strong sunlight which will accelerate fabric fading. Either protect by drawing curtains to prevent exposure, or move the furniture regularly to even out exposure.
§
•Prevent children or animals from climbing or jumping on the furniture. Sharp buckles, claws, toys etc, can easily snag and produce tears & cuts in the fabric. Premature wear if not frame failure may also result from people sitting on or applying unnecessary pressure to arms, edges of cushions etc.
§
Apart from light stain removal, this article should only be cleaned by professionals using Steam Extraction equipment.
§
Fabrics that have a pile, such as chenille and bouclé, may shade, show pressure marks and flatten
§
Creases may form in seat and back cushions where fillings flex. These are natural characteristics of the material, not faults.
§
This short guide is intended to assist in the initial purchase of your upholstery and in ensuring that you derive maximum pleasure & satisfaction from its use thereafter
