[Meet the Scout]
*enter Jim from the right side of the screen; he turns and notices the camera*
Jim: Oh man, I don't even know where to start with this…I mean, do you even know who you're talkin' to?
*cue scene with Blue Alpha eating a sandwich; he gets tapped by a bat, and looks up to see Jim*
Jim: Yo, what's up?
*cue back to main screen*
Jim: I mean, d-do you have any idea…have any idea who I am?
*scene at which Alpha is throwing punches at a screaming Jim, screaming all the while*
Jim: Basically, kind of a big deal.
*scene of Jim pinning Alpha down with a bat, screaming all the while*
Jim: *looks as muscles on arm* Ah, man, these are beautiful.
*Alpha is holding Jim, both of them screaming*
Jim: You listenin'? OK: Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and brotha? *pokes screen* I hurt people.
*Jim smacks Alpha with a bat, screaming "BOINK!"*
Jim: I'm a force a' nature!
*another Russian smacking bonanza*
Jim: If you were from where I was from, you'd be [bleep]ing dead!
*Jim is halfway in the air, about to beat the living hell out of Alpha*
Jim: WOOO! *starts eating sandwich*
/= [MEDIC!] =/
[Meet the Medic]
*cue a pan down into a hospital where Viggo is talking to his patient Alpha, who has his stomach open*
Alpha: Ahahaha…no more!
Viggo: No, no, no, you have to hear this one…when the patient woke up, his skeleton was missing and the doctor was never heard from again!
*they both start dying of laughter*
Viggo: *calming down* Ah…hah…anyway…that's how I lost my medical license.
Alpha: Wait, what?
*the sounds of a bird echo from the ribcage*
Viggo: Archimedes! No! It's filthy in there! *the bird flies away* Birds…ahahaha…
*he takes Alpha's heart*
Viggo: Now, most hearts cannot withstand this voltage. *pins heart to small machine* But I'm fairly certain yours-
*heart explodes*
Alpha: What was that noise?
Viggo: …the sound of progress, my friend.
*heads over to the fridge, where a bigger heart is; takes the heart, revealing the head of a Blue Frédéric*
Viggo: Ah, perfect.
Frédéric: Kill me.
Viggo: Later.
*Viggo closes the fridge, showing Alpha the bigger heart*
Viggo: Where was I? Ah, there we go…
*he holds the heart in his hand as it charges, and starts laughing manically. Alpha laughs nervously along. A few tense minutes pass before showing that the heart has changed to a strange lava color, but with no more ill effects*
Viggo: Oh…that looks good. *drops heart into chest*
Alpha: Should I be awake for this?
Viggo: Eh…well, no. But as long as you are, could you hold your ribcage open a bit? I…can't…seem to-
*a scream echoes out, revealing that Alpha has pulled out a ribcage. Viggo takes the rib*
Viggo: Oh, don't be such a baby, Alpha. Take the pain. Ribs grow back. *turns to Archimedes* No, they don't.
*he quickly activates a machine that accelerates Alpha's healing rate, sealing up his chest. Alpha is pleased*
Alpha: Not bad, medic. *sits up* What happens now?
Viggo: Now… *laughs, grins maliciously* …let's go practice medicine.

[Meet the Sniper]
Jamiebel: Sniping's a good job, mate. Challenging work… outdoors. I guarantee you won't go hungry, 'cause at the end of the day, long as there's two people left on the planet, someone is gonna want someone dead.
*Jamiebel is driving a small truck down a dusty road, looking at the fourth wall camera. Cams to her at a telephone booth*
Jamiebel: Dad…dad, I'm not a crazed gunman, dad, I'm an assassin. *pause* Well, the difference being one is a job, and the other's mental sickness!
*Back to inside the truck*
Jamiebel: I'll be honest with you - my parents do not care for it.
*scene of her standing on top of a tower*
Jamiebel: *to cameraman* I think his mate saw me.
*gunfire echo out*
Jamiebel: Yes, yes, he did!
*Back to inside the truck again*
Jamiebel: Feelings?! Look, mate, you know who has a lot of feelings? Blokes that bludgeon their wife to death with a golf trophy. Professionals have standards: be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
*more gunfire echo out and a whole battle starts. Camera pans back to the telephone booth*
Jamiebel: Dad…dad- god, put mum on the phone.

[Meet the Engineer]
*scene where the older Marzia is at a campfire, playing the guitar*
Marzia: Hey, look, buddy - I'm an engineer, and that means I solve problems. Not problems like, "What is beauty?" 'cause that would fall within the preview of your views of philosophy… I solve practical problems.
*guns start echoing out*
Marzia: For instance, how am I gonna stop some big, mean motherhubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous behind? The answer…
*a scream echoes with the guns*
Marzia: …is a gun. And if that don't work, use more guns! Like this heavy-caliber tripod-mounted little ol' number designed by me… built by me… and you best hope - not pointed at you.
*screen pans out to her playing the guitar while her guns kill everyone around her*
/= [MEDIC!] =/
[Extra]
*everyone is in the waiting room, the younger Marzia in a saluting position while Crystal is polishing her torch. Talking can be heard off screen*
Viggo: That looks good, everything nice here, yes… well…there we go.
Jim: Ah, thanks, Doc!
*the doors slam open, revealing a happy Jim with a glowing heart*
Jim: Ah man, you would not BELIEVE how much this hurts!
*doves coo from his chest*
Viggo: Archimedes?

I have to have the strangest dreams…
Marzia mumbled something to herself as she headed into the school. She couldn't remember much of the dream, except for the fact that there was a woman in it, seeming desperate and hoping about something, but instead of that her voice would be drowned away by the darkness. She had that dream three times in the same night. It was horrible.
Too bad Davina won't be able to figure it out… Strange imagination that she had.
She sat down at her desk, seeing that all of her classmates were now forming in the room and were now looking at the teacher in front of the classroom. Someone else was there with her…the image of who this woman was made her freeze in her tracks. That woman…it couldn't have been…
"Class, we have a new transfer student. This is Jamiebel Angkahan. She has moved here from Italy and will be staying with us for the rest of the year." She nodded. "Please take a seat."
Jamiebel said nothing, instead walking forward toward an empty seat in the back of the room.
She crossed Marzia's desk, and she could feel the entire world tense at that decision. She could barely see Jamiebel turn her head lightly and look at the back of her head.
"Please stay…"
"What?"
"Stay the way you are…you don't deserve to lose it all."
Marzia blinked as Jamiebel headed back to her table, staring at her in confusion before deciding that she heard all that in her head and gave up. She turned back to the front of the classroom just as classed decided to start.
/=+=/
She couldn't believe it.
She seriously couldn't believe it.
She had just watched someone die before her very eyes by the hands of a freaking caterpillar. This whole thing couldn't work out at all. Why in the world would ordinary people such as herself even consider such a thing to do this…?
"Well? What are your thoughts?"
Marzia turned her head to see the mochi looking back at her, blank eyes staring back into her soul. She turned her head back to where the battle had taken place and then back to the mochi, waiting for an answer. She shook her head.
"I…I knew that I was going to go into the military after high school. I was going to be a great soldier, fight for my country…" She held her head. "Now…now I'm not so sure anymore. I can't fight this…I can't afford to see this over and over again…"
"So be it. I'll leave you alone."
She looked up and saw that mochi was gone, leaving her alone in the small area that she was in.
Marzia never thought that she could be such a pansy. Here she was, supposed to be a full-grown woman…
"She'll be missing, you know."
She turned her head and saw a shadow walk up to her. It was Jamiebel in her attire. She had been fighting.
"Kara. All the people that have contracted with that thing. Everyone that dies during these fights will only be considered missing to the general public." She stated, holding her pistol. "Soon, the whole world will forget about their sacrifice. Soon they will fade from existence…as will I."
"…I'm not going to forget her."
She looked up.
"Kara. She was my friend, and I won't ever forget those who I knew." Marzia had to force herself to smile. "And you…I'm grateful that you saved me from that witch."
"…that kindness…is only going to hurt you later."
Marzia blinked as she saw Jamiebel turn around and head back into the darkness. What caught her attention was not what she said, but how she said it.
If she hadn't known any better, she would've thought that she was nearing her breaking point.
*Meanwhile*
Davina stood outside the window, watching Alpha as he stared at the violin a few feet away from his bed. Téa had just left the room, getting him something to eat, and the young man was trying desperately to hold the thing in his hand. She watched as he tensed with pain, his fingers unable to move, before he gave up one more time.
"You know, Davina: your wish doesn't have to be about you! It can be about anything, as long as it's in your power of course!"
"…mochimerica…"
"Yes?" She could hear it come behind her.
"…I want to make a contract."
"And what will your wish be?"
"…help him." She looked up. "Alpha…heal him."
/= [In the Past] =/
Jamiebel looked around at the people, too shy to talk to any one of them. She looked back at the notebook in front of her, filled with her words in her native language, and decided to write more in them. She wouldn't consider calling it a "diary", for the people in this world call it too girly for her tastes.
"Are you all right?"
She looked up and saw a woman standing just a few feet from her desk. She had long blond hair, wearing the uniform proudly and making her the most intimidating thing in the world. Jamiebel had to restrain herself not to jump back and scream in shock. There were no people like that back at her home place…
"Y-yes…I'm fine…"
"You want a tour of the school? It's a big place, so you should know how to get around." She extended her hand.
"Um…s-sure…"
"My name is Marzia, by the way. Marzia Bianchi."
"…Jamiebel…Angkahan-"
/~+~/
She froze in her place. In front of her were three bodies: one of something called a "witch", and two being the women she had befriended. It was both Kara and Marzia, their blood coating all over her face.
Instantly, she began to cry, holding her tears in her bloody hands.
Why them? They were the most perfect people in the world.
Why did it have to be them…?
"I'm assuming that you have a wish."
She turned her head and saw a weird blob walking toward her…if it was walking at all. It was smiling at her, knowing that she wanted something.
"W-what?"
"I can grant you that single wish…if you are willing to become what they were…"
"What they…?"
"Marzia. You can fight alongside her."
Jamiebel looked back at the burning carriage in front of her. If she was in this fight…if she could actually go back in time and join them in this fight…perhaps all of them would still be alive…perhaps this time she would be useful…for the first time in her useless existence. She stood up.
"I…I want to protect Marzia."
"Is that your wish?"
"Yes…I want to protect her…"
"Then your wish is my command."
/~+~/
"J-Jay-bee!"
"Marzia!"
This wasn't right…this wasn't supposed to be what was going on!
She had gone back in time in order to prevent this from happening to them. Marzia didn't die…of course, she didn't die here…but to think that she was going to turn into one of them…one of those monsters that she was fighting.
"M-Marzia…no, I…"
"I-I'm sorry, Jay-bee…for not being able to protect you…"
"No, that's not true!" She screamed. "I was supposed to protect you…I was supposed to protect all of you!"
"…you can't be God, Jay-bee…you can't…I'm so-"
A scream echoed out into the night air, and Jamiebel watched in shock as Marzia started to misshape herself and turn into a horrible demon. Black eyes turned back toward her, and she could hear the growl underneath her breath.
Jamiebel started shivering as she heard Kara, barely alive, walking up behind her.
"…Jamiebel…that looks like that alien from that TV show…"
Jamiebel shook her head. She had to go back into the past…she had to save Marzia…she had to make sure of it…
/=+=/
"Jamiebel…"
"No."
"Jay-bee, listen to me!"
"I said NO! I…I said that I was going to handle this myself…I can handle this night alone…" Jamiebel turned her back to her. "I told you this so many times…"
"You only told me this one time."
"That's because you don't remember the last times! Don't you know my power at all?" She turned back to Marzia. "I can go back through time!"
Marzia froze.
"I can go back through time as many times as I want! I know what's going to happen, where it's going to happen, and how I can prevent it from happening the next time!"
Jamiebel was crying. "But…the only thing I can't prevent is you…you from becoming who I am…"
"I…?"
"I gained this power…seventy loops ago. The first time, you were already one of the Puella Magi…and I was just a normal transfer student. Tonight, you were supposed to die next to Kara."
"I was…"
"That's when I made the contract with the mochi…that's when I turned into a Puella Magi. My wish was to protect you…so that what happened that night would never happen again."
Jamiebel was crying. "I was able to do so…but then I…I turned you into a monster…you were a witch…I had to kill you…"
She couldn't say a word.
"Every time I went back…every time I tried to save you…I'd lose you all over again…I can't bear to lose you one more time, even if I have to finally lay my life down for it!"
"Jamiebel, you don't have to do this…!"
"I do have to do this! AND YOU CAN'T TELL ME OTHERWISE!"
With that, Jamiebel ran forward, ignoring the screams, ignoring the pleas…just kept running forward. She didn't care if she was going to die.
If Marzia was alive…if Marzia stayed alive through this…then her death would be so worth it. She would die with no more regrets…
/=+=/
Jamiebel couldn't believe it. She had…actually protected Marzia…and in that, she saved her. The destruction in front of her was nothing compared to what had just happened: the both of them were alive.
Jamiebel quietly turned her head around and looked at Marzia, whose new form was almost entrancing to look at.
"…Marzia…"
"Jamiebel…I'm glad that I was able to save you…"
"…you saved the entire world…" She answered. "But you…"
"Yes…my wish is that no one ever becomes a witch anymore…I have to thank you for that."
"Wha…?"
"If you hadn't looped back so many times…I wouldn't have been able to save you…and everyone else…"
"So…where are you going now?"
"I'm not sure…maybe to the past…or even to the future…all across space and time. No one else will ever become a witch again. Kara and Crystal will live…you don't have to be alone anymore."
"…does that mean…I'm going to forget you?"
"No…I won't let that happen." She pulled out a small metal cross and placed it on her outfit, clicking perfectly. "Now you will never forget me…"
"…mmm…I'm…I'm glad…"
She watched as Marzia ascended up into the air, enveloping in light before she vanished into nothingness. Instantly, she could feel the ground and time fix itself to Marzia's new wish. She could feel the hope running through the air around her…
"HEY! Jamiebel! Get your head into the game!"
She turned her head to see Kara and Crystal standing a few feet away, wearing their magical garbs and waving her over. She smiled; Marzia had succeeded.
She ran forward, a smile enveloping on her face.
Don't worry, Marzia.
I'll spread your hope among the people.
That will be my new wish…
