Choose the correct answers.
In 2013, my family decided to move from Slovakia to the UK. I went to school there, but in the beginning, I had a very hard time. First of all, I was really embarrassed because I spoke with a Slovak 1 dialect / accent / slang. Secondly, even though the 2fluent / foreign / official language is English, which I had learned in school, I couldn’t understand the 3dialect / native / official speakers, because there are many 4dialects / translations / slang. It all sounded like a completely 5native / official / foreign language – nothing I remembered from school. But I was lucky to make some Slovak friends, so in the beginning they taught me by using 6translation / slang / foreign language. I also watched a lot of English TV, tried to speak to as many people as possible, read newspapers, and after a while, I stopped having problems and became a(n) 7official / fluent / native speaker. I even picked up some for 8dialect / slang / translation. Mark: ___ / 8
